What a certificate confirms — and what it does not

It confirms: this specific product was submitted by its manufacturer and reviewed from a European customer perspective on the stated date.

It does not confirm: safety, conformity, CE compliance, laboratory testing or any form of approval. It is an independent opinion, not a technical certification.

A certificate exists whether or not the manufacturer released the written report for publication.
